Our Story
Barnes & Co. was designed in rural Dumfriesshire, inspired by the heritage saddlery and blacksmithing workshops that once forged across the Scottish lowlands.
With a collection of border collies (and one golden lab pup…) as inspiration, Barnes & Co. traces its roots through the ancestry of the Barnes family, in the scenic Borders of Scotland.
Ties to Edinburgh’s stylish Stockbridge bring fashion to the function, creating a look that speaks to the modern while harking back to tradition.
Equally at home in the city as the country, this unique blend of style and elegance makes Barnes & Co. stand out from the crowd.
Handcrafted leather collars and leads employing the finest of Britain’s historic manufacturing tradition - Barnes & Co. serves the modern dog with high quality daily wear.
Our Kippford collection takes its name from the village of Kippford in Dumfrieshire, on the banks of the River Urr. The range is finished in a blue-died tweed, influenced by the blue waters that run into the Solway Firth.
The Raeburn collection is inspired by Stockbridge in Edinburgh, and it's famous son Sir Henry Raeburn - now immortalised in the names of streets and pubs in this stylish part of the city. The range is finished in red and autumnal hues, reflecting Stockbridge in its most beautiful season.
